Lane’s Edge Wine Bar - Melbourne CBD - 2021

Project: Lane’s Edge Wine Bar

Location: Melbourne CBD

Completed: 2021

Photography: Jimmy Logan

Overview: In the iconic bar precinct around Meyers Place at the top end of Bourke St in Melbourne’s CBD, you'll find a reimagined wine bar with a small but prominent sign ‘Lane’s Edge Wine Bar’. The defit & refit of this space by ONE68 has revealed historical elements which have been incorporated into the industrial chic vibe of the space, including a very old & fragile 'Fish & Chippery' sign, exposed red brick walls & original bluestone blocks from the Meyers Place laneway thought to be dating back to the 1850's. ONE68 have expertly completed many fitouts of old & heritage listed buildings. We understand the delicate nuances of refurbishing & renovating historic interiors, & have an experienced team of Project Managers & trades to deliver a refreshed space, whilst respecting the heritage of such buildings. Modern elements such as polished concrete floors, smokey glass pendants, a sleek black timber bar & bespoke furniture pieces, have been blended perfectly with the history of the bar to create a moody ambience & allow this reimagined hospitality space to be bought into a new era
