Our Contribution
CHALLENGE
ONE68 has been a proud supporter of Challenge: Supporting Kids With Cancer for more than 10 years.
Challenge provides a full range of support services and recreational activities to children who are living with cancer, along with their families. Their goal is for families to feel completely supported in their journey from the time of diagnosis, throughout the treatment period and beyond. They are most renowned for their camps run for children of all ages to give them a sense of fun and normalcy in what can be otherwise a very difficult time.
ONE68 participates in the Robert Allenby Golf Day and Gala Dinner each year, usually entering two company teams – even winning this prestigious event in 2022! Our company also supports the charity by donating and raising much needed funds through the various challenges, auctions and fundraisers run by Challenge.
FIGHT MND
For the past several years, ONE68 has supported FightMND’s Big Freeze event at the MCG.
Founded in 2014, FightMND was established with the purpose of finding effective treatments and ultimately a cure for Motor Neurone Disease. This horrible and debilitating disease gradually takes away the patient's use of their arms and legs, their ability to eat and swallow, their speech and ultimately their ability to breath all in the average timeframe of 27 months. There is currently no effective treatment and no known cure.
Each year our Directors purchase a Big Freeze beanie and a pair of socks for every single member of the ONE68 team, to do our bit and assist in the FightMND charity goals.
MOVEMBER
Since 2019, the ONE68 team have ‘tached-up and got onboard with the Movember mo challenge!
Movember is the leading charity changing the face of mens health, raising money, making a difference in mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. We know that our donations could help save a father, a brother, a son, a partner or workmates life. So that’s why many in our team commit to a month-long mo-growing or walking challenge throughout November every year.
