Sustainability Policies

Our Commitment to Sustainability

ONE68 understand we have a corporate responsibility and need to be actively conscious of this in respect to social and environmental concerns. By understanding our clients’ business needs, we can guide and assist them in sourcing sustainable materials and providing services to recycled products where possible and appropriate for their needs.

Sustainability is core to the manufacture of our Retail fitout fixtures. We are mindful that sustainability certification, such as Global GreenTag, GECA and SAGE are becoming increasingly important for our clients...and to us. We strive to provide environmental-friendly and premium quality retail fixtures that are functional but also enhance the store environment. We apply the concept of recycling to reuse materials instead of throwing them away as waste. In 2021, ONE68 undertook the rigorous Global GreenTag Certification - GreenRate Level C for our imported joinery products as part of this commitment to corporate sustainability.

ONE68 are committed to continuously improving our product stewardship program to ensure that appropriate sustainability frameworks are applied to achieve customer satisfaction. Hence, we have adopted a clear vision for environmental stewardship as detailed in the links attached.

Who is Green Star?

Green Star is Australia’s only national and voluntary rating system for buildings, fitouts and communities. A Green Star certified rating is awarded as a third-party verification of sustainability. It is an internationally recognised sustainability rating. Global GreenTag’s GreenRate certification is a Green Building Council of Australia recognised product rating system designed to meet the requirements of the Green Star® ‘Sustainable Products’ credits. All certified products are examined for ‘Fit-for-Purpose’ and confirmed for Building Code compliance. Based on Full Disclosure of ingredients, it looks in detail at Health and Ecotoxicity and the other Priority Assessment Criteria.  It also looks at different aspects of the product and its ingredients at various stages and for various issues including; aspects of resource use (post-consumer recycled and rapidly renewable content), waste reduction, availability of greenhouse and water footprints.
