Overview: New Balance, a global leader in athletic footwear and apparel, relocated its Australian headquarters to Morris Moor in Moorabbin – where the developers have breathed new life into the former Phillip Morris cigarette company building. The company acknowledged the need to meet heightened standards as workforce expectations evolve, and they understand that providing a high-quality work environment boosts employee satisfaction, enhances productivity and will attract top industry talent. By embracing this mindset, New Balance aimed to position itself as an industry leader in offering an all-encompassing workspace experience. One of the key objectives for ONE68 of this Design + Construct project was to shift away from a traditional office setting and embrace a fresh, contemporary work environment. By mimicking the New Balance Boston headquarters ambience and architectural elements, the Australian HQ with its vast open floorplan, high exposed ceilings and an edgy, industrial vibe including brickwork features, a concrete floor in high-traffic areas and a contemporary lighting solution by business partner Interglo Lighting , the company aims to redefine their culture and create a space that fosters creativity, connectivity and collaboration among employees.
