Overview: The popular hospitality space the Trumble Bar & Cafe at the iconic MCG has been given a new lease on life and is now a busy hub for the general public, members, employees and sporting identities alike. Closed for renovations after the 2021 Boxing Day Test, the Trumble Bar & Cafe re-opened at the beginning of the 2022 AFL Premiership Season, and has been bustling with life ever since! With a stylistic Art Nouveau interior design theme, this huge 800m² project involved the defit and refurbishment of the interior bar, café and outdoor courtyard area. ONE68 expertly gave this previously tired and run down (but much loved) space the quality fitout it deserved! The stylish internal fitout comprised of modern stainless steel and terrazzo stone finishes, and also involved an exposed feature ceiling, banquette seating, custom planters, bespoke furniture, extensive terrazzo tiling, audio visual and TV screens, feature carpet, new timber entry doors, signage and paint work. The huge terrazzo bar is the main feature of the interior space and a major component of the new fitout. The external courtyard area encompassed an enormous 400m² of crazy paving, three new roof structures with four sections of louvered roofs, reconfigured glazed balustrading, considerable entry wall works consisting of render, brick tiles, steel gates and screens, a video wall, custom planters, bespoke furniture, lively signage and festoon lighting. We are so proud to have been part of rejuvenating this much loved venue at the iconic 'G.
